Shelves you invent yourself
No fixed categories to squeeze a book into. One book can sit on as many shelves as you like.
Tome Haven is a private library for the books you mean to get to. Your hoard, your notes, your pace - a sanctuary for your tomes and your book dragon.
Free for your first hundred books. No card, no invitations to send, nobody added to anything. As long as you have an account, free, monthly, or forever tier, your books are yours.
No fixed categories to squeeze a book into. One book can sit on as many shelves as you like.
Mark the pacing, the feeling, the tropes, or the reading challenge. Tags connect books across every shelf.
Narrow by status, format, rating, genre, or shelf, search your notes and tags, then sort the results the way you want.
See the books in reading order, spot the ones already in your library, and add the next installment without another search. Give the whole series a shelf of its own, too.

Rename a shelf and every book follows. Delete one and the books stay exactly where they were — only the grouping goes.

Most reading apps eventually ask you to perform your reading for strangers. Tome Haven never will. Here's the full list of what we left out, and intend to keep leaving out.
If you abandon a book on page 40 and never speak of it again, Tome Haven has no opinion about that. Neither does anyone else, because nobody's looking.
Every book keeps a small private note: where you heard about it, who pressed it into your hands, what mood it's for. Six months later, when you're standing in front of your library with no idea why that one is on it, the note is right there.
Search runs across your notes too, so "the one Priya mentioned" is a real thing you can look up. Statuses, tags, formats and progress keep the rest in order.
A hundred books cost nothing. After that, thirteen dollars a year — a dollar for each lunar cycle — or thirty-nine once and never again. Your library exports as CSV or JSON whenever you like, whatever you pay.
